44 hours in Cuba.

June 2018

Did a spontaneous trip to Havana, Cuba and spent 44 hours there with no internet access.

I chose to stay away from the touristy spots and walked down a local street. It was probably the most mesmerizing 1 hour of my entire journey in Havana. People didn’t have phones in their hands. They gathered on the streets and talked to neighbors happily. Unlike the people in touristy neighborhood, here they seldom interacted with foreigners directly. I was not even sure if I was more curious at observing them or they were more curious at observing me. But everybody smiled at me as if they had known me for 10 years.
