Take yourself home, to Seattle.
September 2020
Talk to me
There's nothing that can't be fixed with some honesty
Happiness is right there where you lost it when you took the bet
Counting all the losses that you can't collect
Get everything and nothing in life
I'm tired of the city
Scream if you're with me
If I'm gonna die
Let's die somewhere pretty
Sad in the summer
City needs a mother
If I'm gonna waste my time
Then it's time to go
Take yourself home, to Seattle.
I've been wanting to make a video about Seattle for a long time. A very personal one. And a very emotional one. Summer 2020 just perfectly provided all the emotional ingredients needed for me to pour my heart into this short 2mins.
Summer 2020 has been weird. Not being able to travel almost threw me into an unexpected existential crisis. I lost my biggest weapon to deal with emotion turbulence - travel, and let go. With all the Covid restrictions, I had to stay home and get stuck with my own thoughts, all the time. It was not easy. But this precious journey encouraged me to explore Seattle more, and reminded me how much I took this awesome land for granted.
Sometimes, beautiful things are just right around the corner. We do not need to go far to chase for happiness.
Appreciate uncertainty. Appreciate life.
